Delete your FanaCare account
FanaCare is published by FanaCare LLC. You can delete your FanaCare account, and the information that goes with it, in the app or by email.
In the app
- Open FanaCare and sign in.
- Go to Profile › Data & Privacy.
- Tap Delete all data, then Continue, then Delete everything.
This deletes your records on that phone and your account on our servers. If the phone is offline, the account is deleted the next time it goes online.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app or can’t use it, email [email protected] from the email address you sign in to FanaCare with, with “Delete my account” in the subject line. We may ask you to confirm that the request is yours. We’ll delete your account and reply to confirm within 45 days.
Your care records are stored on your phone, not on our servers, so we can’t delete them for you. To remove them, use Delete all data in the app, or remove the app from your phone.
What is deleted
- Your account details: your name, email address and sign-in details.
- Your app settings.
- The phones linked to your account, and the invitations you sent.
- The encrypted copies of your records kept on our servers for syncing and backup.
- On the phone you delete from, in the app: your child profiles, medications, dose records, appointments, IEPs and Vault documents.
What we keep, and for how long
- A short security record, holding an account reference, a device identifier and dates, and none of your care records. We keep it for 12 months after deletion, only to protect against fraud and to show that we honored your request.
- Our service providers’ backups and logs, which are deleted within 30 days.
- Messages you sent us, such as support emails, and purchase records if you subscribed, only as long as needed to answer you and meet legal requirements.
What deletion can’t reach
- Files you exported or shared from the app.
- Copies on the phones of caregivers and nurses you invited, and on your other phones. Remove the app from your other phones too.
- Your phone’s iCloud or Google backups, which follow your own settings.
